Architectural Drafter

Salary: $60,000.00/Year
Permanent and full-time position - Mon – Fri, 40 hours per week.

Job description:

The Architectural Drafter is responsible for coordinating the development of final plans that
include aesthetic representations of the structure or details for its construction. Accurately and
efficiently transferring data information from take-offs to the computer program for production
purposes. This information will then be transmitted to a cutting assembly machine to produce
windows and doors. Strong eye for detail, precision, and proficiency in the Opera System.

Additional duties will include:

• Prepare scale drawings or architectural designs, using computer-aided design or other tools
• Prepare information regarding design, structure specifications, materials, color, equipment,
estimated costs or construction time for revision and approval.
• Consult with clients to determine functional or spatial requirements of structures.
Key Responsibilities:
• Precision and Accuracy: Ensure that all data transferred is error-free, precise, and in alignment
with project specifications and requirements.
• Quality Control: Conduct thorough quality checks to
identify and rectify any discrepancies or inaccuracies in the data, maintaining a high standard of
work quality.
• Computer Proficiency: Utilize computer software and the Opera System to manage, store, and
transmit data effectively.
• Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency
and accuracy of the data transfer process, suggesting and implementing enhancements when
necessary.

Education and Experience Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a foreign equivalent
• 12 months of experience in the position within the manufacturing industry
• Proficiency in using the Opera System for data management and transfer.
